Mieloo & Alexander on RFID Tomorrow
As supply chain and logistics consultants, Mieloo & Alexander supports clients with their strategy, (re-) design of process organization and (ERP) systems, and with planning and managing the transformation project. As AutoID integrators, the company designs, builds, and implements custom solutions to realize the full benefits of AutoID technology and to improve internal business processes. “We offer both generic industry solutions specially designed and developed for the sector, or solutions based on our one-off, highly innovative customer projects developed further in cooperation with our clients”, says Drs. Sander Merkx, Partner at Mieloo & Alexander.
Focus on application-oriented talks
On Developer Day, September 19th, Drs. Merkx will talk about “Inventory accuracy and item locating combined with improved customer service and analytics” and explain how Mieloo & Alexander’s Benelux clients in retail benefit from innovative overhead RFID reader technology. Replacing manual stocktaking and handheld RFID solutions, overhead reader technology makes RFID systems hands-free and help offer additional information on consumer behaviour in stores. The presentation will cover several pilots and roll-outs at Benelux-based retailers that have firsthand experience with these technologies. Bastiaan van Eck of Royal FrieslandCampina will present an RFID project realised in conjunction with Mieloo & Alexander to track dairy products on User Day, September 20th. Implemented by Mieloo & Alexander, the RFID application optimises internal logistics and also enables RTI pool management.
SpeedLab on Fashion & Apparel RFID business models
Mieloo & Alexander’s SpeedLab on User Day tackles the three common business models currently deployed for stock management in Fashion & Apparel Retail: Off-line/manual, real time/transaction based and perpetual inventory. Drs. Sander Merkx will discuss the required components for and pro’s and con’s of each model, as well as the scaling approach, and offers practical insight in the lessons learnt in various pilots and roll-outs.
