The ID ISC.LRU500i is the latest innovation from Feig Electronic. With an integrated traffic light function (blue: standby or reading active; green: reading successful, passage completed and red: reading successful, passage not allowed or internal error), the LRU500i is a fully functional and easy to install door reader.
In one housing, the LRU500i combines both RFID reader and reading antenna, as well as a traffic light function and many other features for quick and easy installation and commissioning at access control points.
The LRU500i compact reader is equipped with a special IP65 protected housing, making it ideal for outdoor use.
In addition to the already mentioned traffic light function, the ID ISC.LRU500i from Feig Electronic also offers a connection for a second antenna to further extend the reading range of the reader.
With an output power of up to one Watt, the LRU500i door reader achieves a reading range of up to eight meters.
In addition to the pure output of transponder information and RSSI values, the LRU500i is even able to output the phase information of the individual reading. This information can be used, for example, to detect the direction of movement of the transponder.
Ethernet, USB and RS485 are used as communication interfaces. External components such as a gate or a barrier can be controlled via industrial grade inputs and outputs (GPIO). It is also possible to switch the reader on and off, e.g. via a buzzer or automatically via a light barrier.
The LRU500i can be powered either via a mains connection or via PoE+ (Power over Ethernet).
Besides the excellent hardware, all readers from Feig Electronic can be controlled via the freely available ISOStart software. The setting and configuration options go far beyond the software scope of the market competitors.
