NordicID AR82 – RFID-Reader

The AR82 multiport RFID reader from NordicID is not only a low-cost device, but also offers many new possibilities for implementing RFID processes in companies thanks to its 16 antenna connections.
Originally designed as an RFID reader especially for the registration of individual storage locations on shelves, the range of applications can be scaled considerably.
Whether on clothing shelves in retail, at kanban boards, workbenches or other identification points, as soon as a large number of antennas are required for an RFID application (e.g. to monitor the shelf space in the shop individually), the AR82 offers the highest possible flexibility at manageable costs.
Optionally, AR82 can also be integrated into existing WLAN infrastructure (802.11 b/g/n) or operated via 3G.
In addition to a power supply unit, AR82 can also be operated via PoE (Power over Ethernet). In addition, the reader has an embedded Linux, which allows the user to install software directly on the RFID reader without having to use an additional computer.
If required, each of the individual antenna ports can be configured separately and controlled individually. For example, an automatic inventory comparison can be carried out at shelf location level.
Due to the new Nordic ID NUR2-1W unit, AR82 can process up to 1,000 readings per second.
Four LED luminaires inform the user about an existing mains connection, the reading status (on/off), an existing communication as well as a possible error. These can also be programmed separately by the user.
