TSL 2128P – 1D/2D/UHF

The 2128P from the British company TSL is the successor to the successful 1128 model. In addition to a significantly increased reading performance, the 2128P offers a decisive advantage: via the ePop-Lock, it is not only convenient to connect a smartphone or other device quickly and easily to the 2128P, it also offers the possibility of charging both devices in just one charging station. This eliminates the need to charge the smartphone separately and ensures that the RFID handheld is always ready for use.

In addition to the physical coupling of both devices, the Bluetooth connection is also up to date. With Bluetooth 4.2 (Bluetooth Classic and BLE) connections are possible over a distance of up to 100m.

Like the TSL 1128, the 2128P can also be coupled with a wide variety of end devices, independent of the respective operating system. The Windows PC, an Android tablet or an iPhone can communicate with the TSL2128P.

In addition to the interaction via the respective terminal device, the TSL 2128P can give direct feedback to the user via LED, a beep noise or vibration.The size of the compact handheld is only 158 mm x 98 mm x 170 mm (L x W x H), the weight is 445g.

With an operating temperature of -10°C to 50°C and a drop height of 1.2 meters onto concrete (at room temperature, 0.9m over the full operating temperature), combined with the well-sealed housing, the TSL2128P can be conveniently used in industrial environments.

In terms of RFID technology, the TSL 2128P definitely sets new standards. With an output power of 34 dbM (EIRP) and a nominal reading range of up to nine meters, even challenging RFID processes such as reading the transponders in incoming or outgoing goods, an inventory of extremely high numbers of transponders in the textile trade or the detection of reusable containers can be displayed effortlessly.

Optionally equipped with a 2-D barcode reader SE4750SR from the world market leader Zebra, the 2128P is not only a reliable companion when it comes to RFID tag detection, but can also effortlessly capture 1D and 2D codes.

If you want to use the device as a pure data collector, up to 500 million data records can be stored on an optional SD card. The SD card is of course also used as a buffer, should the Bluetooth or USB connection between the reader and the terminal device fail.
